Ok as far as I know after doing a lot of google search and forum thread reading. I was still unable to find an easy (if there is such thing) solution to my EMERGENCY UPDATE FAIL problem. Looks like the only thing wrong is that the MMI module can't get pass the initiate software update phase. Therefore I am sure my radio and entertainment modules are not fried. I hope. So would I just need to grab an updated software? Would I still have to go to the dealer for online SVM with VAS? I am hoping that if I didn't have to replace any components but just installing an upgrade software that I could do it all with VCDS. I do not have warranty. How much would an upgrade software cost ? How much would the dealer charge since I do not have a warranty or how would I convince them to do it at low to no cost? This just happened to an A6 2.0t fwd. Please help any help.
