AWE Tuning B9 A4 Development Thread

It felt like forever but they've finally arrived. We didn't waste any time with getting acquainted with Audi's latest A4. Disassembly commenced and the A4's intake and exhaust cavities were thoroughly evaluated and scanned.

Now the real fun begins. Check back for updates as we give the B9 A4 the AWE Tuning signature treatment.

I will def keep my eye on this. I went to the NY Auto show today and i was so mad they did not bring the S4 here so i can see it up close and personal. Ridiculous, (we brought the R8 spyder instead.) Pos, FML

I heard! I was disappointed upon receiving the news as well as I was looking forward to hearing eyewitness accounts.

Yeah man i was disappointed. What caught me by surprise was that they didn't even take the S3 but all the other S models were there including the S8 and a RS7. I asked the rep when the S4 will be released and all i got was "More info will come towards the end of the year so expect a Q1 launch." -_- I hope the rep is wrong and it drops this winter, I miss the sound of a turbo spooling. I need that B9 S4 in my life.

Glad to see this! Drove the S3 and the new B9 A4 the other day. I can't believe how powerful the A4 seems, AWE will be a sweet upgrade. My Touring cat-back on my B8.5 sounds sooooo damn good.

It is pretty crazy looking back at previous gens/models and seeing how far the A4 has come.

They can't get here soon enough, MM. Trying not to think about them to ease the anticipation... but it's proved to be quite difficult.

Wonder what giac will bring to the table with this gen3 engine..???.. Possible over 300 flywheel with just a stg 1?..
Very possible similar a3 numbers!....
Interested to see how the new dsg handles the potential b9 s4 levels of torque and HP, being that the b9 s4 will have a potentially higher torque capable zf8speed

Just sold my B8.5 Nogaro S4 with the awesome AWE Touring Cat-Back on it. Miss it already.

But my B9 A4 is pretty damn sweet. I've been a "beta" tester in the past for various exhausts. Would love to get on that short list of B9 A4 testers.

Regardless, can't wait!!!

Here's a clip of us toying around with the A4 on the dyno after putting the it through torture testing.

The A4 was equipped with a protoype Touring Edition Exhaust and Non-Resonated Performance Downpipe (the one shown in the images above).

Pardon the rollers, they're loud, as well as the production floor which was behind camera.

The upcoming exhaust suite is going to be sweet, guys! Can't wait to film all of the systems (outside of our bustling factory) and share them. There will certainly be a system for everyone's taste.

Haha yep, certainly want to hear that as well! If possible even just a few revs sitting still so we can hear it without the rollers and tire noise etc.
