**Question about B5 S4 transmission **PLEASE HELP**

Hey guys I'm new here.. and I just got a B5 S4 and it is manual 6spd when I put it in reverse and start going it whines really loud and gets louder the faster I roll it stops immediately when I pulled it out of reverse and keep rolling only when in gear it does this... it is quite annoying... I don't know if this means I need to re build it or not... I read a forum on here saying the reverse gear is straight cut and that's why it is audible but I was wondering if it's supposed to be very audible... everyone I talk to about it says it shouldn't sound like that and may be a bearing or something.. please someone help me... and every video I watch when people back up I do not here anything...

Do you have video to show the sound...?
Almost all the manual cars I have been in will sound in reverse.... it can get loud the faster you go....
But it is possible that there is something wrong if it is not the usual straight-cut gear sound.....

I am no professional car mechanic... just experience speaking here...
