ECU problem I think Please Help!

So it all started yesterday after a very heavy rain storm in Michigan. I was driving fine and no real problems but the Ecp and traction control light had come one, this did not frighten me because when my feet are wet and I kick them into the footwell my accelerator pedal sensor gets moist and throws the fault, shut the car off and back on and it's fine. So I get to work safely "an auto repair shop" and I go out after about three hours of sitting I go to start it and nothing. So I scanned it with a snap on modis ultra, and got supply power to terminal 30 something like that. I put a battery in it and it started right up, except for one problem, my reverse lights are on in every gear (tiptronic by the way) so I drove it home no real issues other than the reverse light. Go out about an hour later and no start in the driveway doing all the same stuff it was doing. I went out an hour after that and the coolant fans were running so I disconnected the battery. As of right now a tow truck is on the way to pick it up as it would not start this morning.😢 Please help. I really think the ECU might have gotten wet and needs to dry out! Need help please!

Check for water in your ECU box.

There was puddles in the ECU container! All the relays were underwater currently letting it dry out

You need to figure out how the water got in and fix it. Then your problem would be solved. A lot of times lazy mechanics break off the rear corner of the cover rather than removing the windshield wiper and the cowl panel.

    ^This.
I had to glue mine back together after my DB of a 'mechanic' busted the hell out of my box...this is why I now twist all my own wrenches...
Make sure the seal is seated correctly when you put it back together or you'll end up right back where you started.
    slow is fast...
