My 16 S6 Build Thread

Thanks for stopping by and taking a minute to read about my build. I placed an order for a 2016 S6 on March 12, with an ETA of the end of June. Here a list of the specs I ordered;

-2016 Audi S6 Prestige Package
-Glacier White Metallic
-S Sport Seat Arras Red Design
-Driver Assistance Package
-Cold Weather Package
-S6 Sport Package
-Black Optic Package
-Black Cloth Headliner
-Rear Side Airbags
-Delete Front License Plate Holder

I just got off the phone with Frank at Klassen ID Wheels and placed an order for 21" MS03 Wheels in Satin Black, wrapped in Michelin Super Sport tires. Outstanding customer service from Frank and I couldn't be happier in making the choice to go with Klassen ID Wheels.

I also plan on getting the APR ECU Tune (possibly the TCU Tune as well), 5% Tint on all windows, Matte Black wrap on the roof, and the 034 Transmission mount.

If anyone has any recommendations on other accessories for this beast please drop a comment, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I look forward to updating this thread with pictures of my wheels being machined and delivery of the vehicle. Stay tuned.

Update 5/8/16

Got a couple pics after my wheels came off the mill. Still need to apply the black color to them and then mount the PSS tires. Can't wait!!

Ordered EuroCode goodies; Alu Kreuz, front and rear sway bars, front and rear end links, insert mounts, and the end link rubber dust boots, as well as all the required hardware!!

I might go lighter on the tint. I'm not quite sure yet. I like it to be pretty dark haha.

You're my white twin! You will absolutely love the red. We just got that exact car at my store the other day... I totally shoulda waited to get that over the black but I'm not complaining lol. My parts are in my sig if you want some ideas

Frank is AWESOME and Klassen ID wheels rival HRE and all the other high $$$$$ boutique offerings. I have tried them all.

Talk about customer service, he flew out from west coast to personally spec my wheels for my beast. They look freaking incredible and for forged 21inch they are lighter then I thought. They arrived the other day, these are still not yet offered to public since he is using my car to launch. Hope he does not call and yell at me

I have done a few modifications to my car, so if you ever need a sound board just ask

Hi there. I ordered my 16' S6 as well. You pretty much got everything covered. I will say though, that I got the black cloth headliner and wish I would have gone alcantara. I was a little turned off by the outstanding price but I gotta say, after seeing it in person it's worth it. A buddy of mine that ordered his 16 S7 wish he would have done the same as well once he saw it in person. It's money, trust me.

Those are simply fuking nasty. I would take those over HRE's any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Please post some pics of them mounted when you can Spero.

I'd recommend not getting the cold weather package because that flat bottom wheel is niiiiice. Otherwise, I like your build. I am wrapping my roof as we speak!

Thanks man, I appreciate it! I was sold on the wheels before talking to Frank, but after talking to him I was even more sold. His level of customer service is unlike anything I've ever experienced, such a great dude. He said he will send me pics throughout the process. I can't wait to see them and will be sure to post them on here for others to check out too!

I thought about that, I do like the flat bottomed steering wheel. I might have to get in touch with my sales rep and see if she can't have it removed to keep the flat bottom steering wheel. I tried the heated steering wheel on an A6 and liked it, which is why I went with it on the S6. I don't know how often I will actually use it though haha.

Man, those wheels are freaking amazing! I'm so glad I went with 21 instead of 20. The 21s definitely fill out the wheel well much better. Are you based out of NJ? Frank mentioned he just finished an S6 for NGP, it's sounding pretty similar to your car lol

Well after much thought I've decided to have the cold weather package removed to keep the flat bottomed steering wheel. The more I look at it the more I love it. My sales rep already made the change through Audi and it's reflected on the order. Now they just need to hurry up and start building the damn thing!!

5% is really dark. Kinda Ghetto if you ask me. You never want to cheapen the look. I have always had 18% on all the cars. I find that it's dark enough that you can't see in but doesn't make it ghetto.

SWEET!! Just got an email today that my S6 is now in production!! Beyond excited!! How long does it take to make it through production to shipping?

Just looked on the dealers website and my car is populated on there. I'm guessing this means the car will be en route soon??!

Have you asked the dealer to pull up the logistics page and send it to you? You should be able to get all the details on where its at and what ship it will be on etc. I had to annoy my rep a bit until he found where to get it in the system. Should have production dates, ship ETA's and the vessel # etc. Then you will develop a severe case of OCD and track that boat about 50 times a day on marinetraffic.com

Don't let them tell you the best they can do is the owner in waiting emails :)
