Fiberglass Subwoofer Cubby Box

Hello, folks! Last year I built myself a subwoofer box for the cubby of my B8 and ultimately made a few for some members on that side who were looking for a similar solution. A synopsis of that whole process can be found in this post. In a nutshell i was able to make a flush-sitting cubby box for the left and right sides of the B8. I have a buddy with a B7 that has asked me to do the same for his car and i'm wondering if there are any folks around here that have thought about or have an OEM looking sub box for these cars.

Here's what they looked like when i finished for the B8s!

This was an 8" sub box for the passenger side (ignore the cubby door)


And this was the box for the driver side which fit a 10" sub


The cubbies are different so i'm just showing the pics above for a sense of concept. i'd consider making a mold of the box to help a few members out on this side as well. Shoot me a pm if you think you'd be interested.

I'm curious how much you'd be asking for this. Is a 12" enclosure out of the question? I ask since I already have 2 12's in the trunk.

Thanks for the responses folks. Can't call what cost would be at this point as i'm just trying to see if it makes sense to make another mold if there were others were looking for a fiberglass box. It'll be a few weeks before i can even get to my buddy's box so i'll update the thread once i can actually get something together.

Hey bud. I'm currently building an enclosure for a 12" sub in the driver side trunk wall. This is the progress so far.



I plan on doing a full write up upon completion so other members can give it a go themselves.

Fiberglass is really not as intimidating as its been made out to be.
