Resonated X-Pipe with downpipe mufflers removed

Hi all! ive looked over and over the forums and while a ton of people have done custom exhausts, replacing the center resonator with a regular X-Pipe and also the resonated X-Pipe but has anyone replaced the center resonator with the resonated X-Pipe and replaced the downpipe mufflers with straight pipe? If so how did it sound in comparison to doing just the resonated X-Pipe and a non-resonated X-Pipe? I want to have my S4 sound slightly louder than stock (think quieter borla or AWE touring catback) but not have the rasp associated with the non-res X-Pipe. Any thoughts? I currently have a stage 1 EPL ECU and DSG tune with a intake pipe, airbox mod and K and N filter. Thanks!!!

Thanks for starting a whole new thread for this when there is a huge, completely active thread just for this! And yes, its been done. And will sound better. If you are removing the front baby resonators, put the xpipe there, and just remove the center res and replace it with straight pipe.

Yea but everyone is doing that with the non res x pipe. What would the difference be if I used the 11378 res xpipe? Sorry new to this stuff. I'm gonna order a xpipe today and not sure what I want I do not want rasp... thanks...

Yeah, no. Not everyone is using the non-res pipe? There are several guys using the res unit. Me included, and I posted in the other thread about using an 11378? It's on the last page. Check it out.

Yes bit did you put it where your dp mini muffler are and put straight pipe where the center res is? That's what I want to do. If so can you put a clip up?
