Does A3 2.0T has soundaktor?

I suspect that there is for the 2.0T with Drive Select.

Whenever I put the car in Dynamic the engine revs become very loud. There's definitely some sound actuator at play. The only problem is that the A3's Drive Select does not allow you to adjust the device like you can on the S3.

When I was doing VCDS mods. I couldn't find channel A9 to turn it off. So I don't believe the A3 2.0T has one.

I wondered this too when I originally bought the car, but none of the A3's come with it. Audi felt those that buy the A3 are not the demographic to care about this, but if you are would rather sell you the S3, which has it.

Did you remove the cover from the engine bay behind the firewall and found no actuator?



Since you added Drive Select to your car are you saying when you change Drive Select modes you hear no difference in the engine sound?

We have the 2016 A3 2.0T Technic model and selecting Dynamic from Drive Select, there is no noticeable increase in sound. There are no valves on the exhaust either. The only difference is the fact that the S-Tronic hangs onto the gear much longer similar to the S3.
I've done this multiple times even in my garage. If the actuator is present it could have been installed in error or it simply is not wired up and not coded within VCDS.

Just ADS was added... software basically. Soundaktor is a $2K option when buying from Audi as parts, I would expect them never to add this to the A3. This is only added to VW GTI and Audi S3's.

That is the normal sound the engine makes when accelerating aggressively.

Illegal (video playing in the front where driver can see it) in CA and the ticket would be $1K at least if I had any say in it. People who do this are just an accident waiting to happen. Aside from that, the car sounded good.

the funny thing is that no one shit bricks at the fact the Tesla Model S and it's 17" sized touch LCD easily lets you the driver navigate to any website from Facebook.com to Ebay while driving.

But show an Audi doing VIM and people lose their shit.
