Question Oil pressure lamp turning on when engine is up to temp and accelerating from idle...

So yeah, did a service on my car last week. Changed oil filter, oil (5w-40), fuel filter and some other stuff, then I noticed on my test drive that when the engine got to operational temperature so will the Oil pressure lamp turn on. Now this only happens when the engine is up to temperature and I'm coming from a stop, to be exact from between 1000rpm and 1600rpm and will go away if I keep it on 1800rpm or anything above for 3-5 seconds. I did not have this problem before I did the service.

Had it at a mechanic and let him check the oil pressure and he said it lays at around 1.3 bar when ideling which is fine, but he also mentioned that it is most likely my oil pump that is starting to go out and needing a replace.

So my question is: Is this the cause or could it be something else entierly that is going wrong? Wrong oil, sensor or something else?

    Any help is appreciated.

I would try a 0w-30. If that fixes your problem then it most likely won't be the pump. It could be the pick up getting clogged from oil sludge

Won't that hurt the engine? And/or if it works and the lamp does not turn on is it safe to run the car on it for the time being? Oil and everything around that I'm quite green on so sorry for (most likely) stupid questions.

A place between here and there

Use a mechanical oil pressure gauge and see if your oil pressures are within Bentley specs.

#1 reason for low oil pressure is a clogged oil pick up tube screen.

I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch

If you used an aftermarket oil filter, i recommend using an oem one

    I second that!
The first oil change I did on my Audi I just put a, better, aftermarket one on and had a similar issue. There's even a TSB on this I think. Since then I've only ran the OEM filter from Audi and haven't had an issue. If there isn't an Audi dealer near you, you can go to any VW dealer, they'll have the same oil filter available.
