while putting my 06 S4 engine together, I found a fracture in one of the exhaust cam bearing caps (E5). Anybody know of a good quick source to find a single replacement cam bearing cap?

at this point, either. At face value, used should be just fine.

I have a few left from when I did my heads. I'll check tonight and let you know tomorrow.

FYI: unless you go to a yard, you wont find them sold separately. You have to purchase the entire head in order to get them.

    FYI 2.0....
make sure you SEAT the rods correctly or else you'll continually snap the bearing caps when torqueing them down.

    ask me how I know

thanks for the response jmcS4. I have no idea of the value or cost of this part, so I will throw out $30+ shipping to 80503 Colorado. I am in need of the cap marked E5 (exhaust cam, passenger side, forward cylinder).

Please feel free to PM me.

    cheers,
    Derek
