Any one know where I can get a t3 twin scroll manifold for my b5 a4 1.8t awd

    Or a turbo that's equivalent to gt3071r a/r61 with a t4 twin scroll housing?

You want Agtronics. A beautiful piece, one that may make it onto my car one day. Give them a call. There is another one out there that I can't think of, and no it isn't full race.

You may have issues with the height of that manifold since it is made for transverse engines. I know vrmm knows more about this when he made his own.

Edit. That manifold is a t4 as well. As far as I know, no one makes a TS T3 for our platform.

Agtronics? I've heard iffy things about whether they are totally in business or not but their website is still going so that has gotta mean something.

I'm dumb. That's a decent price on that JDL.

From Mike Hood on my twinscroll post:
Full-race offers 2 manifolds, their T3 open flanged manifold that I had them make me in 2004 and their Twin scroll T4 EFR manifold which they made on my car in 2011.

JDL Auto Design offers 2 manifolds for the A4 1.8t too. One done with a T3, T4 open or a V-band flange and then they offer a divided T4. No real point in making a twin scroll T3 manifold seeing the flange is much smaller and there really isn't much options for twin scroll T3 housings.

JDL's t3 is not twin scroll aka 'divided'. I'm pretty sure no one offers twinscroll in t3.
Maybe I should drop out of school and jig up something :p

Well looks like I'll just get one with a T4 flange, cut it off and weld a T3...... because garrett offers a t3 housing for the 3071r

I emailed JDL to see if they would do a custom T3 twin scroll. I'll let you guys know tomorrow what they say.

If I ever buy a t4 i've planned to cut my t3 off and put a t4 on. It would require putting slits in my current piping and bending it outward so it won't be a huge restriction.
Dropping a grand on something just to 'fuck it up' is something i've learned I won't do. I hate that I spent 350$ on my 034 downpipe and cut it up to fit the angle of my twinscroll.
That said you gotta do what you gotta do... Do you have the ability to make your own? I really only takes patience. You could buy a used gas mig welder and a chop saw + materials needed for 1k..
    Just sayin :)

If I didn't have the ability to make my own I would have just went t4 and lived with that. There's a ton of good options out there for it. He351vgt is t3.5 and dirt cheap. Hx35 cheap. Controlling vgt is not simple though :/ and you'd have to drill the bolt holes out a little bit.. A lot bigger than a 3071r too. A twinscroll 3071r would be sweet twinscroll so carry on! I would suggest 3078 though. I could have totally lived with my comp 5456 if it was twinscroll. Albiet it's still slow :p It was a 3078 equivalent. Lag is shitty but just what we have to deal with.

Check this out... If I ever don't buy a used turbo it'll be airwerks

Good news I contacted Ronnie at JDL motorsports, he said I can order a T3 flange manifold through them. Tomorrow I'm going to call and order it through him personally. I'm pretty stuck on a twin scroll 3071r and now that I have the manifold everything else sits righy into place. I'll post some pictures when it arrives. Let the build begin!

I love my v band exhaust. Holy balls it's awesome. I have never thought about changing my current setup of my turbo to v band, but if could pull it off it'd definitely be worth it!

My open 5456 was .63 and didn't get full spool until 4500. My twin scroll Hx35 is 4200-4500 depending on the gear. I think it's the equivalent of .89. I'd definitely go .83, but .63 would be legit too for its own reasons. I like the umph throughout rather than having it drift out like I would expect the .63 to do.
I've actually only read that to be the case and haven't experienced it personally, so take that as you will..

I hate my 1.8 because it has 0 power down low. I would actually love to try a .63. I don't think it would bridge that gap though...

The reason in want to go .61 is because I want to spool as fast as possible. Not to mention I bored and stroked the car to a 2.0t with 8.5.1 compression, a while ago. I'm also debating on getting a gtx series instead of the gt. I want to be around 400 for this car I only drive it during the summer or when I'm working on my ultrasport.
