Help! M/T axle lengths needed asap

Hey guys. Had the cv joint pop the other day, no big deal I thought. Three hours of labor I thought, I'll get it back before the weekend I thought. Well it's been two weeks. The shop says it has gotten five wrong axles. The lengths haven't been right or something like that. Well I ordered an axle from ECS and had it overnight. Hopefully I have better luck than their vendors.

However, I really would like to know the axle length for both the passenger and drivers side. I'm starting to think they may have installed them in reverse the last time I had the axles replaced (8months ago). I have looked everywhere I could think of to try and find the info with no luck. Thanks in advance.

I've never actually measured the hollow shaft lengths. All I can tell you is the passenger side is slightly longer. See my pic below.

If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.

You can only measure the shafts or reference marks on the shafts since the joints can/will move in and out. Only the shafts will give you a good repeatable measurement.

Ya that's the preferred method. I just doubt there are many guys with just shafts sitting around sans CVs.

Pretty sure the joints have inner and out limits too so you may be able to stretch them out and measure that way. Or push them all the way in. Just an idea.
