Reality check on my order from FCPEuro please

    Ok
    1. I ordered front outer CV boot clamps from fcpeuro for my front axles.

    https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi-cv-joint-boot-clamp-genuine-audi-vw-n91140201

    "2002 Audi A4 Quattro Base Sedan 3.0L V6 VIN:T AVK Manual
    Position: Front Outer"

This is what I bought and this is what I got.

    2. They are too small.
    Part is 91.5mm oetiker.

What is needed is a 104.5mm oetiker

    3. If you look in the fitment section closely, the fitment says the part is for: "2002 Audi A4 Base Sedan 3.0L V6 VIN:T AVK Manual Engine Air Duct Clamp."

Q: This is a screw up by FCPEuro??

I am getting to the point that I can't trust these folks and their site for anything.

I just spent a chunk for parts that don't fit.

The sad thing is I could have got them on ebay:

I am starting to hate FCPEuro.

Their shipping has gotten wonky lately too.

This is a particularly hard part to get correct when just using drop-downs on a website (vs using an official parts catalog with more detail). There are something like 20 different axles for the front of the B6 chassis depending on which of the 10 different transmissions and 3 different engines you have. Not to mention the specific engine/trans 'codes' and mid-year VIN splits that can play a factor.

FCP Euro does list the correct part on their website with the correct application for your car, however that part is NLA:
    https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/aud...-vag-n90934301

I'd probably suggest some universal oetiker style clamps (with many sizing positions) or the alternative band style clamps.

Universal oetiker with high adjustment range (for example this large one is 45-120mm):

    Univeral band-style (for example 50mm-150mm):

That's what I ended up doing....Got some good SS adjustable ones on amazon.

FCPEURO fixed the fitment info as well.
Can't get refund now, as packaging is long gone.

It clearly says the size is 91.5mm https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...lip/n91140201/. I only use ecstuning for their part numbers. I order everything through fcpeuro ,worldpac or northside imports.

True, but fitment info said otherwise.

So still bum dope to me.

Fcpeuro fixed the fitment info at least

Yup, Ecstuning is pretty much only good for part searches.

    Thanks.

For that heat the ECS gets.... They do have good info and if they are price competitive I will get my parts from them. Despite the horror stories I have not had any issues with my orders. FCP has also been good.
