    EPC light ?!

    Hello!
    The EPC light just lit up while driving and i can only rev to 6500rpm. No MIL yet.

    Anyone know whats wrong?

    And now it went away, could it be carbon build-up or something like that. I've been driving it like a pussy this winter, short drives to work and such.

    So, when you see an EPC light...probably don't rev the motor to 6500. More like turn the car off and restart it in hopes it resets. Ideally just park it and fix it. Don't drive it like that.

    It was cleaned 20000miles ago if i remember correctly.

    Yes ofcourse, i did restart it and it disappeared. It runs like normal now, kick at 5500rpm still present.

    Probably cold carbon gumming up the flap shaft movement then.

    This, or it's one of the flap position sensors. I had that light go on/off a few times over a few days but after a scan with VAG COM, it was the passenger side (bank 1) intake manifold flap position sensor. I replaced it and haven't had the issue since.
