    Oil change surprise

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I did my first oil change on my newly acquired 3.2 avant. After took off the splash guard , I saw this cable hanging and the connector end looks like broke off from somewhere. What's this cable hanging under the fan and radiator? How hard is it to repair or replace? I have no fault code and lights showing.

Trace to where it is coming from. If its like the 2.0t it could be the motor mount sensor that people disconnect with aftermarkets.

I'll take a look for that connector when I get home, if no one has answered by then. I'd check along the radiator could be a temp sensor or something like that. Especially since the wires run back into the bumper area from the looks of it.

Only reason I ask is because I ripped out a connector for a horn on a BMW when removing the bumper and it looked exactly like that. I think there's 2 horns on the front of the car.
