Cete Automotive lowering module experience

I've choosed cete automotive module 'cause it provides much more feautures instead of H&R and for lower price. The price is 999eur for module + harness, but if you're live outside the Germany you can get it for VAT-free price (-16%).

First of all, module works with EVERY A/S/RS 6-7 pre-FL and FL, it comes with wi-fi app control and provides DIFFERENT settings for every preset. So basically if you want to go -30mm for dynamic and stock for comfort - no problem, so it means that lift option stays unaffected if you're setting up stock height on a just single preset. and you can raise your car to the max for climbing curbs for example and suspension height becoming fully controlable by app in your phone via wi-fi.

Basicaly that's all )

Ah yea, btw, app have option "Show mode", for all of you who like some showoff, and you can go on a max lowering, but it's not recommendeв to drive with this mode, but still possible.

My car can go to this level. Stocky 19"sh on winter isn't so cool, better pics coming with spring when it'll finally come to Moscow.




In my opinion it's the best solution for the lowest price for an ajustable ASC module on the market.

i just got mine and so far im not very happy, it set off pretty much every system fault, ie: sport diff, power steering, adaptive suspension, adaptive headlights etc. even after removing the module the faults remain and will not clear

Is there a US reseller now? There was no back up in the US last I looked so was worried if something like this would happen. Were you running VCDS lowering before installing this?

yes, i brought the car to factory height before plugging everything in, everything seems sorted out for now as far as system faults. looks like one of the connectors that gets piggy backed into the car is pinned a bit differently in europe so the power, ground, and signal wire were not being hooked in properly with the cars systems. CETE is very responsive as far as support goes considering they are in germany. It's after 8pm there and they are going back and forth with me as we speak to sort everything out. I'll give it another go tonight and re-pin the supplied connector since im a gluten for punishment

Fixed! turns out their is a very specific order in which things need to be unplugged and plugged back in. pins were fine. The customer support from Germany was absolutely fantastic, way better than many domestic companies.

when you get to speed, 70+, do you get an error code saying the car is too low and it's adjusting the suspension? I'm lowered on the H&R module, 40mm, and get this every time I drive. just wanted to know if this module somehow finds a way to defeat that. thanks!

Idk yet. We will see. Haven't driven it yet. I decided to do the install last night around midnight and limped to work and dropped it off at my service shop. I do have this feature where I can adjust the speed setting where it raises.

This particular lowering module got my attention aswell.
Interested in knowing if for example you could automaticly set the car to (adjusted) showmode preset each time you shutoff the engine/getout car and it would automaticly raise to last mode again when you turn on the car. Is this possible?
Taking it a step further with the app itself, but it would be great if they linked gps data and you could set predefined ride modes to saved locations (for daily routes with speedbumps).

+1 and maybe if it's not going to take too much time, it would be nice to see a write up for installation steps as well.

Install is pretty straight forward(varies worldwide though since they have options we don't)


This piggy backs in-line with these connectors in the trunk, purple goes to purple and the grey 9 pin connector plugs into the yellow


Then the two wire leads on the cete harness get wired into the CAN BUS harness


This is in show mode. As low as it will go. I still need to dial everything in and fine the best ride heights for the different settings(comfort, dynamic, auto)

Looking good :).

*checked with them over facebook and suggested the 'showmode' engine off - 'last ride mode' engine on (automaticly over module).
Also suggested the integration of gps based presets, would be super handy if you could save ride modes based on gps location for speedbumps or poor roads and the app/module loads them automaticly when user drives near the preset locations.
They appreciated the suggestions but i dought it would ever be implanted.

Personally i bought car specificly with adaptive airride as i got tired of bone hard KW v1 with low profile tires, well loved them but speedbumps and poor road at times....not a good combination.
Call me lazy but the automatic gps ride modes would be super imho :).

Anyway, added to mod wishlist!

I really like the idea of an ignition off settable height and a settable height for above a certain speed. I was hoping it had this already.
