SAI Pump Replacement + Related Parts?

    Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask if there's anything else aside from the combi valve I should be checking when replacing my SAI pump. I've had the jet noise for almost a year now on cold start, and it's beginning to sound a lot worse. CEL is inconsistent and rarely on, but when it is, the code is "EVAP: Very Minor Leak Detected' (sorry, at work and don't have exact code #). Possibly related? I'll know more when I run the code this weekend.

I've found a good thread that I'll follow for testing my combi valve (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...)-Is-it-noisy), and I also found this nifty diagram (below) from a4darkness and his "Engine Strengthening" thread (mad props: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...Injection+Pump) that I used to see what is connected that may need replacement as well.

P0441 is Evap and has nothing to do with SAI or Combi Valve. Number 8 on the above diagram is what is causing your P0441 (evap) problem or any associated vacuum lines attaching that valve.

SAI is a completely different system and the jet sound is more than likely due to a cracked plastic line going to or coming from item 3 in the diagram, which is your SAI pump.

Gotcha, thank you for clearing that up. Should I consider replacing the lines leading to and from the SAI pump? Or just replace the pump itself?

It depends on if the pump itself is bad. You can inspect the lines and see if they are cracked/broken. They are easy enough to remove to inspect. More than likely it will be the one coming from the pump and going to the hard line above the exhaust manifold. There is also a gasket for the combi valve where it attaches to the head. There is a vaccum line that attaches to the combi valve which is controlled by the N112 valve, item 21 in your diagram that you could inspect as well as the lines leading to the N112 valve. If the co,bi valve isnt opening, it could blocking the air from flowing into the head from the SAI pump/
