Looking for general thoughts. I've been out of the game for a while. Thinking this might be a good entry back in.

price is high but its got a ton of money in aftermarket bits, so only you can put a value on that stuff and whether its worth paying a premium for.

Thats a lot of mods done in one year. Seems like he dumped an awful lot of money into it for just a year. I would talk to him and get the whole story on the car. Seems a little fishy to me. Dig a little deeper

Some folks have the ability to mod the holy hell out a car in a short time, get bored quickly and move on. Find out why he is selling and see if you can work the price down some. Carfax will help some and worth the money if you can't find anyone to run one for you.

Unless the guy has ton's of money and doesn't care about money, then its fine. But to dump the money into the car then about 5-8K ontop of that in such a quick time frame is fine but to turn around and sell the car about a year later. Seems to me like there is some underlying factor there. Either he was set to buy the car and just bought all the mods as he bought the car. And he just hates how it drives or something is wrong with it and hes trying to offload it. Or he bought the car and didn't like it stock and decided to mod the hell out of it and make it into something he likes and still just doesn't like it.

Just my personal experience and the way I buy things. I would just do my homework so you don't get burned if that is the case. It could be perfectly fine and a good reason to why he is offloading it. Just make sure you do your homework on the car. Factor in all your own assumptions on to why you think he is selling it with everything you can come up with and what he says.

    Quality mods.
The only things you'd want to do it replace the OEM shocks with some better aftermarket ones since he/she only did springs and perhaps add a sub frame brace...
I personally would not buy an audi with that many miles though. 30k would be the highest on a used car... but that's only me and due to bad past experience... it will prob become increasingly difficult to find low mile ones with the options you want as this platform ages...

Given the mods I think it's priced fairly. KBB values it at 29k private party... it looks very well maintained and I'd place value on all those mods... the steering wheel upgrade alone would be worth a premium for me... The 2011 steering wheel was horrible.

Should be wary, but he might just have fixed up the car how he liked and then got bored. Seems pretty common around here for people to eventually want more power and move up a class.

In 2013 I leased a brand new S5. I did more mods than the car in question and then parted it out and sold it after only having it for 10 months. Nothing fishy about it. It was an extra car, I wasn't in love with it enough and I had something else(engagement ring) that I wanted to spend my money on.

All i was saying is do your home work and if it checks out it checks out. I would just do a little more on it than a normal one. But what you said you lost all kinds of money? But I'm guessing you really didn't care that much.

Yea I hear you. I put about $15k worth of mods into it and when I parted it out I was able to get about half of it back. You're correct, I really don't care at all.

Ive been burned before on a car purchase. So every car after that one I always do my homework. As shady or fishy as it looks or seems, I could still be interested if everything still checks out ok. Some people on here and with these types of cars have plenty of excess money to not really care about mod money spent and or loss if and when it comes time to sell it. That's fine they want to make the car enjoyable to them. Nothing wrong with modding it fast. And im sure your girl loved you for selling your car to buy that ring. I try to have my cake and eat it to sometimes lol. But I sold my B7 S4 to buy a boat for my fiancé at the time since she hated my jet ski.

Yup nothing wrong with being cautious. I guess my problem is I don't care enough about these things. Its really a bad thing. Funny thing is my girl was AGAINST me selling the S5. She just wanted an inexpensive ring. Even when we went to the store to get sizes and styles she loved the cheaper(smaller) ones. Im the asshole who had to spend a lot of money on it. But then again, if she wasn't like that, we wouldn't be getting married as I've had my fair share of money hungry b*tches in the past. \

LOL bought a boat because she didn't like the jet ski? Thats friggin awesome. Total win in my book

Lol you guys are funny. I modded it because I work at a shop and knew exactly what I wanted to do and have easy access to suppliers.
The wheel is exactly the same, with a different badge. You can replace the badge if you are really anal about it, but it was never worth $100 to me to change.

    Enjoy the car
EPL Stage 3 with a bunch of other crap.

Yea, Id like to have a little bit more money every month to do some things. But again I want to save it so when we retire we can live it up and not worry and enjoy retirement. I want to buy a Porsche or a Ferrari when I retire if its in the cards. But yea my girl is a keeper too because she didn't want a big ring. Just something she wanted. I had no issue spending the money. But with that big ring we have to pay for it on the back end with Homeowners insurance rider. I cant justify to write off 8K worth of wedding ring and band if its lost or stolen. Things come and go but finding the right soulmate lasts forever. I knew when I sold my S4 I would be getting one in the future. Just wasn't sure when at the time. But we never know what the future holds for us.

Decision has been made. I'm back in the saddle again!

Thanks Mark for a smooth transaction on a FANTASTIC car.
