New Owner: 2015 Daytona Gray S3

I traded in my 2008 B7 Dolphin Gray S4 for a 2015 Daytona Gray Pearl Effect S3. So far I am loving this car.

Though I will miss my V8.

It has 23276 miles and is a CPO. It includes the following options:

1. Driver Assistance Package
-Parking system w/ review camera
-Front/rear sensors
-Audi Side Assist

2. Daytona 1 package
-Red Brake Calipers
-LED Headlights
-19" Wheels
-Magnetic Ride

3. Radio: Audi MMI Navigation Plus w/ MMI Touch

Congrats! I know its a lil off topic but I'm just curious to know how reliable your s4 was... how many miles and years did you own it?

I was really close to buying one just curious

It was actually very reliable for me. it was a Florida car most of it's life, so it only have 3 winters in Ohio. It had 85,000 and I was on top of my maintenance, so I really didn't have many issues with it. Mostly minor stuff. That 4.2L tends to leak oil from the valve covers and the oil pan. I did the valve covers myself and tightened the bolts on the oil pan and it fixed my oil leak issues. I would recommend at least doing piggies, catback, and a JHM tune. It really wakes up the car. My problem was having a Tiptronic and it just didn't want to cooperate like I would like it, so I drove in manual mode using the paddle shifters most of the time. It's not anywhere like the DSG in the S3.

I think I got good deal. I just didn't get what I wanted on my trade. All in all I was satisfied with the deal.

The car handles great. I like the different driver settings. You could always paint the calipers yourself and be old school.

APR does a REALLY good job with software on the MQB platform. We have tuned several S3s and Golf Rs with their software and man, what a difference!

Do you have a specific tune for it or do you guys just flash the APR tune?

I would love to go that route, but since I am still under warranty, I am looking into a solution to be able to flash back to stock at home before taking it in for service. I guess that leaves me with Unitronic and Eurodyne at the moment.

She looks great. Congrats! I just wish Audi didn't cheapen out by not providing a decent battery case in the S3. Having that thing wrapped around the battery just does not match the prestige level of the S3. At least, you can easily put in the proper battery case as a future mod.

I believe there are some piggie backs available like JB1 I think it is called. That way your flash counter doesn't get changed thus voiding your warranty anyways. However, since I am also in the market for an MQB car my research has shown that APR is still the best choice.

Do you know where to get the JB1?
