    Downpipe Installation Instructions

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I searched both on here and google. Would someone be kind enough to link a past install write-up (assuming one exists) for installing aftermarket downpipes. I am not concerned about the mating of pipes or anything, just concerned about needing some weird tool or removing a heat shield...and pointers to allow this to happen as quick as possible. Inevitably I will end up driving the car halfway apart to the hardware store or muffler shop, but if I can try to avoid it then I would prefer to...

    Thanks!

Yeah I saw those. I understand....take one out, put one in. I just want to make sure any specific star or hex or whatever tools are needed, I have. Also if any specific heat shields come off...

    Has anyone done this themselves?

Mark, if you'd like, give us a shout tomorrow or Thursday and chat with myself or Matt. We've done a pile, and it's not -hard-, its just involved. A second pair of hands goes a very long way, halfway through.

It can be done in a driveway for sure. I'd recommend a weekend vs an evening for that.

    Will do! Thanks.

I started in my driveway this evening, but quickly realized I was going to need more time

Whenever you get a chance and get this project done and completed if you could provide some pictures or even a small write up it would be appreciated.

I can arrange a flat- ground install guide if a couple people will benefit.
