    Jukebox organization

I uploaded music from a memory card that I had loaded and all categorized and put into folders but once they're saved into the system its only placed in alphabetical order and everything is back in one folder. Is there a trick to getting it saved on the system the same way as your card or is it just better to leave on your card and keep it organized that way?

What version of MMI are you on?
Are you using iTunes Playlists to build your Media Card?
If not, what you are seeing may be a result of the application you are using, not necessarily the MMI. You may not be getting all the metadata.

I can only talk to importing via iTunes Playlists.
When I import my music through iTunes all the metadata stays intact so when I want to sort by Artist, Songs, Album and Genre- it's all organized.

I have discovered that both the Jukebox and SD Card are great sources for music. They function and look exactly the same. I expected "lag" on the SD card as I advance to the next song but discovered neither Jukebox or Media have any discernible lag whatsoever. Over time I have stopped using the Jukebox because there is no need to spend the time to upload when you can just insert a Media Card and you are "good to go." Jukebox has a 10GB limit and the Media Card (I believe) is 32GB. It may be 64GB.

    Here's a couple of tricks:
The Browse Button (on the console) will get you to Songs, Artists and Albums
The Directories button (in MMI) is actually the equivalent of "Playlists" (if you import iTunes Playlists)
Playlists (in MMI) are actually predetermined groups- "Recently Played, Most Played, 5,4,3,2,1 Stars and Unrated."
When you activate "Shuffle" (in MMI) it will shuffle ALL music in either the Media Card OR ALL music in Jukebox. I have not found a way to "shuffle" just a single Directory or Playlist (from above).

    Hope this helps.

I found a nice little program which is free, called the iSyncer: http://www.isyncer.de/en/releases

It syncs your memory card to your itunes and organizes into your playlists, just like what you have in iTunes. You can select each individual playlists to sync.

    Repnaudi,

Pretty sure your problem will be solved if you use a program to organize your music (iTunes or iSyncer- per chucky0731) before you put it on the card. Once organized in the program you can drag the playlists (called that in iTunes) or files to the card. These programs add metadata which will keep the music organized in MMI.
