Rubbing issue on drivers front fender. Need space advice!

Hi all! I acquired a 2007 RS4 about 5 months ago and it is riding on Stasis/Ohlins SL suspension with stock wheels and stock size Michelin PSS and 8mm H&R DR wheel spacers. Unfortunately, I am having a tire rubbing issue on the drivers front fender. The fender liner retainer nuts have been removed, so that's not the issue.
The rubbing occurs under hard right hand cornering and coming out of steeper driveways.
The rubbing is very light, but is noticeable and bothers me. I really do not want to roll my fenders. Would a 5mm spacer work on my car, or will that pose vibration issues? I know taking 3mm off isn't much, but I think that is all I will need. Thoughts?

You could also check alignment. Make sure wheels are aligned properly. I haven't had success running smaller spacers without vibrations. 8mm was as small as I could find that retains the lip on the spacer and eliminates vibrations. If it's just a little rub on a driveway or hard right turns, maybe you could just live with it. Surprised 255 tires are still giving you rub on one side. Good luck, please post up what you find out.

I'm currently running 20x9 et26 OEM RS5 wheels with 10mm spacers all around, Stasis/Ohlins suspension, and SPC front upper adjustable control arms with the camber kicked back out to "stock" numbers. On hard left turns, the inner top edge of the fender contacts the tire to where it's rubbed straight through to the aluminum which is disappointing, but there's not much I can do other than to raise the car up more (it's already higher than it used to be when it was on H&R springs). I don't think even getting rid of the spacers will help because that's not the issue for me, on hard left's that include heavy bumps (like running over a street drain, they're all over the place here in AZ), the fender rubs for just a split second. I've gotten used to slowing way down for those kinds of turns.

I run stock wheels/winter Pirellis 255/35/19 (no spacers) and I too get a small rubbing only on the drivers side in the exact same situations. I am lowered on H&R's with the rear spring spacer. I never had this issue before on PSS's and I even ran a 10mm spacer in my current lowered state. Inflating the tires a few PSI more does help some. I think the tires I'm running now (Sottozeros) are just not as square as the PSS's I had in the past.

Not sure why some of you are afraid of rolling the fronts.. If you have someone that knows what they are doing, it's a piece of cake..even with these aluminum fenders. Should be 50-100 bucks and you will NEVER rub again! (Especially with your specs)
