    Facelift tail lights on 2013

I'm planning on installing the facelift tail lights on my 2013 A7. Most posts I see are in regards to retrofitting the Euro dynamic sweeping lights, which require more work, and I believe additional parts.

If I simply want to install the US Facelift (2016) tail lights onto my A7, will there be a lot of problems, or do I need any different components other than the tail lights? (I am having a shop install them)

I believe its a direct fit...so no additional components/modules need to be installed.

Don't know if you need to code the post-facelift taillights via VCDS.

I'm having my 2016 RS7 upgraded to Euro Tailights with dynamic turn signals...will post videos when installed by my shop in a couple of weeks.

The new Euro tailights with dynamic turn signals DO have additional wiring harness/modules that need to be installed in addition to coding.

I did the euro taillights as I found them on classifieds for a good deal - any reason you don't want to install the sweeping euros? Install/coding was relatively easy

Do you mind sharing the total cost and steps involved?

It's not that I don't want to, but it requires more parts right? Not just simply coding? I got rear ended the other day (after only owning the car for 3 weeks). It's not bad though, just new bumper and the tail lights chipped on the corners so I will be getting new ones. The body shop I use said they can install the 2016's if I want.

If it's just as simple as coding, then I'm all for the sweeping lights, however, from what I've read it requires more parts (as chucky0731 said above), which i'm not sure the body shop can justify to the insurance.

Alex at europrice has a package - from what I remember was just a couple additional modules/wiring harness and some coding . He might be able to send you instructions before you buy but I remember it being generally easy to install

So turns out the 2016 tail lights have different connectors. For those that did this swap, what did you do to go around this? Thanks!

You apparently need a wiring harness.

I contacted Alex, hopefully he can help me out.

Someone replied earlier saying it was a direct fit without anything extra, so that's what I went with. Now I know that that isn't the case...

    ANy update on your retrofit?

Was Alex of Europrice able to help you out with wiring harness? Did you have to recode with VCDS?
