    Clunk from axles/ transmission ? Help !

Ok so I'm getting a clunk in my front end around the transmission area it feels like it's in the front axles , or the differential is locking up while driving at low speeds or when letting of the the throttle . If you drive a tight circle it is constant , clunk , clunk , clunk coming from trans area center of car but also in both front axles . Any suggestions?

Grab the axle near the inner CV joint and shake it. If there is play see if it is just in the joint or if the flange off the trans is moving as well.

I just replaced both axles , and just did some research on the flange . It appears there is one bolt that holds the flange tight to the output shaft and they can come loose , unless I'm going in the wrong direction

So inner CV are likely out of the question. Do you have a tip or 6 speed?

new axles can still be faulty, make sure you try to get the OEM ones.

Have you looked at your rear drive shaft for play?

It's a tip trans , I had it in the lift yesterday and the rear diff mount is bad and the carrier bearing is in bad shape , but the noise is still in the trans almost like a slip or like it's sporadically changing gears, but you hear clunks and clicks in the axles ... Idk at this point , there are no trans codes either

So I taped my action camera on the rearward front control arm pointed toward the the subframe and drove around for a little. I found that the clunk I am experiencing is the inner bushing popping inward and outward while certain suspension movements. But if I lift the car up there is no slop in the arm at all. I don't know what your problem is but it sounds similar to mine. We even started threads on the same day I believe. I don't know I guess I'm saying sound travels and it is deceiving.

On my page there is also a video of the sound from inside the car.

Also I guess when the pop noise happens it shakes the camera so It reinforces the idea to me that it is the rear arm. Plus that bushing is all over the place.
