Let me start from the beginning... I wanted an intake system for my a7 when I bought the car a couple years back but there was nothing available at the time. I went to my local tuner shop and they told me they had been retrofitting these awe intakes for the q5 3.2 onto the a6 a7 so I was game. Anything is better then stock in my eyes, the awe simple replaced the factory hose and filter but retained factory airbox. For a couple hundred bucks it works great to be honest, sounds good but not loud enough. I decided 1 day I wanted to try out the roc-euro, so I up and sold my intake and ordered the roc-euro which I finally received 3 weeks later!
Today was a bittersweet day, I finally had my intake, but to my surprise it was missing parts!!! WTF, it's Friday and I'm in Las Vegas and Roc-euro is in New York...
🔫 Fuck it, it's missing a coupler, some clamps and whatever, nothing 50 bucks and a trip to autozone won't fix. So it's installed and sounds lovely, I highly recommend it to whomever is looking at intake systems. The awe was just a limp hose and filter upgrade, the roc-euro is a metal hose, filter, breathing filter and heatshield that seals to the hood. Impressive stuff! I'm sure I could have taken taken a dremel to my factory air box with the AWE to unmuffel the sound but I wanted to try something new! Here's some sound clips [URL]
