OK, got these from that dude parting out a 98 V6. I looked up the name, but there seems to be a change in fitment between 98 and 01. Anyone know anything about these? Are they junk? I paid $100 for the pair, did I get hosed?

Please don't. Best course of action is to burn them, I recommend using gasoline in a well-ventilated area

Those should "fit" in a 99.5-2001 or a pre facelift with the 1 piece lights mod. That said they look horrible and would not flow with a b5 body or any other car ever made. They are flat out ugly.

I feel ashamed to say I have these when I read comments like this lol

To be fair it was a cheap alternative to replace the broken headlights on the car when I bought it.. Depos are coming soon.

But yes. They are shit. You have zero adjustment and will literally be able to see 10 feet in front of you with your brights on.

Well, phooey. I should have known. I have to agree on the general ugliness, I don't think there's much one can do to improve on the look of these cars, and if the functionality is worse, no way. Maybe I'll just put em on ebay and one of Murph's buddies will buy them! Ha! Kidding, kidding! ;)

Wow, I knew these looked bad but didn't notice the lack of adjustment. That's pretty terrible!

There's lots you can do. S4 body, rs4 narrowbody, rs4 widebody. Generally avoid stuff that's not oem. I don't think our stock 1piece lights are ugly at all. Plus you can always retro fit some better projectors in to improve lighting.

If you think these cars are ugly then you probably don't like audis. It's aged very well considering when it was designed.

Actually lol. They have no plugs at all. Or mine didn't at least. I had to make my own harnesses up so I could conserve my OEM plugs in the car. (Thank god I made that decision otherwise I'd be kicking myself in the head for cutting up an OEM harness)

Well, what I meant was that these cars look good from the factory, and aftermarket stuff generally doesn't improve on that. I think the B5 has one of the best looks for any 4 door sedan of its era. The oem "daisy" wheels didn't really do it for me, though.
