Did PCV delete and not happy

Hey guys, I recently did a pcv delete(no catch can) on my B7 2.0t FSI and I've been reading on some posts that some people are having large exhaust smoke coming out while in WOT. I seem to be getting it only once when I go WOT and then it's fine until the next day and I've noticed that it misfires when that happens as I hear a loud backfire(catless DP with electric cutout) and lately my oil has been disappearing, I would guess that it's being dumped into the intercooler as I'm starting to hear a little flutter when I realease boost

Anybody have any experience on the pcv delete kits? I'm going to revert back to stock. Anybody recommend any additional parts or why maybe I should keep it???

Why did you do a pcv delete in the first place?

I thought I had a bad pcv so I decided to remove it because I was only doing 14psi with no leaks found. But after I realized my revo tune reverted to stock after I unplugged my battery to add a secondary battery in the trunk

    Ahh lol. Ok.

Well, here's a pretty great pcv thread http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...stem-explained

I never was in favour for the block off plates. I just recently ( week ago) put a catch can on, and in fact retrieved some loss of power. I was under the impression that a block off plates causes the vapours to find other ways to escape, IE: Seals. But I have no experience with them

Keep the stock system. Ive experimented with many aftermarket products, and nothing else will cater your needs to pull vacuum out of the crankcase as well as the stock pcv solution. Sure, it will not filter the vapors as well, but at least you will have vacuum at idle. When i put in my 034 catch can, i could hear the the blowby gases / pressure resonating in the airbox.

As an aside, I find it irresponsible of places like bsh selling those block off kits and advertising them as "fixing the stock PCV". They don't fix shit! They only cause more problems.

Yeah very true, I was really mislead thinking it would do good but I guess not. Never had such a bad oil consumption till after I installed it, minimal oil light turned on 500 miles after an oil change from the vw dealer.

    What a waste of $85

Hmmmm, I thought the 034 kit was the way to go. Functions just like the stock deal but filters out junk.

I had mine not dumped back to the drain, and upon taking the bottom plug out for the first time, it caught a lot of fuel/water.

I bought it to replace the BSH kit, as my car didn't seem to like it at all.

Its not a bad system, and i believe the ecs one has better hose routing design, but to me a vacuum on crankcase is more important than some carbon buildup if you dont drive your car like a grandma.

I have this pcv kinda delete fix and it work well in terms of
power. No smoke, no noise and no lost of oil. I know that some oil goes back in the turbo and the IC , but no that much.

Why not just buy a hose and loop it back. Ode to carbon buildup

I got a check engine light caused by my WOT pulls. Got a P0340 code, I'm not sure if it was due to the low oil. Checked my dipstick and no oil on the dipstick and no low oil warning icon. I reverted back to the stock PCV and check engine light went away but I'm still getting crazy misfire/backfires with smoke on WOT @ 5-6K RPMS. Does it take time to go back to normal?????

Did you remove any of the coil connectors for access ? Sounds like you may have disturbed something while you were in there

Yeah I actually unbolted the fuel pressure sensor(I think) but didn't pull it all out since I was making a mess of fuel
