    Wheels from Canada to US

    Hello everybody,

Does anybody have any experience with ordering from Canada and shipping to the US. Or buying in Canada and driving stuff back? I have my eye on the 19" v-spoke rims (8W0601025BD) that are part of the S-line sport package and not available in the US (yet).

    Thanks,
    Dirk

I bought a headliner a couple of weeks ago from another member. I had no problems at all, but I went and picked it up. I was only over for about an hour and a half, but as long as you declare it, you should be good. In my case, they asked what kind of car it was for, and that was it. I think the guy was more curious than he was thinking of taxing me. The seller offered to write a "bill of sale" for $100 CAD just for safety, but it wasn't requested while crossing back into the US.

Edit: what makes these v-spokes (flowers) different from the ones that come on the S4s and S3s or the Black Ops package in the states? I don't know the part numbers for the units in the US, but they sure do look the same.

A couple of years ago I sold some wheels and didn't have an issue bringing them across the border. I thought I'd have to pay something but didn't. I'm doing it again on Friday and can confirm. May be different since I'm coming from Canada to the U.S. While you be importing back. Canada customs loves taxing me when I come crack with stuff.

The B9/8W rims are ET40 while the B8/8K rim was ET43, not much of a difference but without test fitting both I couldn't tell if the brakes or fender or something else are the reason. The A3/8V rims are a 8.0 instead of 8.5 and have an ET49. They all are 19" though. There is an option that those rims become eventually available in the US as part of the black optics package, or on the S4. Not sure if I want to wait that long though.
