    Sepang blue owners help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys I'm close to pulling the trigger on either a 2016 S6 or S7. I am torn between Glacier white and Sepang Blue!! I am always normally a black or white car kind of guy but there is an S7 on the lot near me in Sepang blue that I actually really like. My current car is black and I am just so over a black car! My last car was a pearl white which I loved, cause it looked good and did not show swirls or scratches anywhere close to what my current black car is showing.

So can any Sepang owners out there chime in on how the paint has held up and if it shows a lot of scratches and swirls? To be quite honest Im probably not going to be washing my own car with the two bucket method, (sounds good on paper) but as a dad with two young boys I just don't really get around to washing my own car every week.

I also have never seen the layered aluminum inlays in either a S6 or S7. If anyone could chime in on how they look compared to the Carbon atlas inlay that would be great as well. Online it actually looks pretty cool.

    Thanks,

Paint's held up perfect but then again, I had it wrapped since day 1

In all seriousness, the Sepang Blue is stunning in person. You are looking at quite the contrast between the Glacier and the Sepang. I've had both. If you want to remain subtle then go Glacier White...if you want to turn heads then go Sepang. Black optics is a must either way IMO but too each their own.

Yeah black optics is for sure checked for me! I kind of want the arras red which obviously wouldn't go well with sepang, but would look killer with glacier.

I really like your wrap on your S6 BTW! I looked into that as well but was told it was around 6K so needless to say for me I took that option off the table.

Here's mine, 2016 Sepang RS7 with Black Optics:

    http://fourtitude.com/news/aftermark...tailored-audi/

Was hesitant of ordering, because the color is...should we say....a little attention grabbing?

But after I received the car...the color is beautiful and "SPECIAL". The color really turns head.

I had my Sepang Blue fully Xpel Ultimate Clear Bra'd + Opticoat Pro Plus on top....so no issues with the paint.

I have the Layered Black Wood Aluminum Inlays trim inside and looks beautiful...I get a lot of compliments from my friends. I also installed CF rear center console and CF roofline handles. They actually look great together. You can't go wrong with either!!

I am between 2016 S6 and S7 too .Still cant decide which one though...looking at 2 color options, sepang blue with alu optic pkg and speed yellow with blk optic pkg.

I have sepang blue RS5 and the color held up very good for me as well.

Real eye-catcher color. But you gotta take a good care of it.

The only thing I dont like is that dust is very noticeable on this color. Here in CO we have a lot of dust and in 2 days my car gets covered with dust really bad whcihc effects the shine so I have to wash it every 3rd day to keep the shine

here is my sepang blue RS5 with alu optic pkg wwhich I personally think pops really good over blue

I ordered a Sepang S6 with the black/aluminum inlays pretty much sight unseen. I had seen S6's in other colors and an Rs7 in sepang at the dealer, but nothing with the layered aluminum. Dealer just got a sepang S6 on the lot without all my options and it is gorgeous. Hadn't seen any good pics of the layered inlays until now and am so glad I went that way. Just something special about it. Your car looks great! Mine just boarded a boat in Germany and is on its way. Can't wait!

My previous two S6's were Glacier, my current one is Sepang. IMHO Sepang is the sexiest blue in the entire Audi lineup. Once it became a standard option I had to have it. It holds up very well to scratches and swirls compared to Estoril(Eswirl) blue I had on my first S6. Black optic is a must on either of these colors though to make them pop.

Regarding the layered wood, I absolutely love it. I regret not doing it in my current S6. Ive had 3 with carbon and one with piano black. Im tired of the carbon at this point. The layered wood is so beautiful, doesnt show dust and fingerprints as much, and really goes well with the sport seats.

I have a Sepang S7 with carbon inlays and absolutely love the colour and the way it pops.

Ive had the front protected with Suntek PPF, and I had my detailer ceramic coat the rest of the paint. Im 6 months in and the paint is still fresh as.

I love Chudiddy's matt wrap on top of the Sepang, but a full wrap here in the UK is out of my budget unfortunately. (But never say never!)

The only thing I couldn't get is the Black Optics package, as its not an option with the S7 here in the UK, however Im having the chrome wrapped in gloss black in the next few weeks. Black Optic and Sepang are an awesome combination.

My next mods are a sports exhaust - Ive decided on the IPE Valesonic package, then black gloss wheels and the yellow brakes. Such an awesome combination.

What ever colour you go for, the S6 and S7 are just awesome cars.

Chucky0731's RS7 is on a whole different level that some of us mere mortals can only aspire to!

How far are you from Yiannimize? I bet they cost a fortune but they do incredible work from what I see from their YouTube Channel.

    Some good stuff: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUH...A7cTc8R6r31FRg

Yiannimize is in London, but I hear his pricing has skyrocketed since he started hanging with the A-list celebs LoL.

The guy who put Suntek on my front is the official PPF guy for McLaren UK, so his work is top notch. A full Stealth Wrap runs about $6k here in UK.

    That orange RS is insane

Buy urself a good car duster and dust it everyday...that's what I do every time before I drive the car and no issues with dust on car.

Also, keeping my car in a garage helps ;-)

I love my '16 Sepang S7. It's a head turner for sure! It cleans up very easily but I do find that dust does show a bit more but that could be because it's pretty dirty here right now with the snow all melted and dirt/dust piled up on the side of most of the roads. I have the black quilted interior with the carbon inlays and think that it matches the sportiness of the car.

Yeah, never thought about car duster.

I am keeping the car in my garage, but that doesn't help much. Its just way too dusty here because of the low humidity I guess

Yeah I think imma go for the Sepang! Thanks for all the comments guys! Virtually impossible to find one with layered aluminum inlays though. I was also told today that we just passed the time frame to order a 2016, but in a few weeks I can order a 2017.
If I am leasing the car do you guys know what difference (financially) it would be between a 16 and 17?

I'm guessing residual would go up but so would the money factor so maybe it would be a wash, dunno.

Ok so I worked out a deal on a Sepang Blue S7, and can go finalize the deal tomorrow! I guess my concern would be me getting sick of the color, cause I always normally do black or white. I do really really like the color in person though. Have any of you Sepang owners got sick of the color after a certain period of time? I know it may be kind of a silly question but this color is kind of out of the norm for me.

Agreed!! I doubt you'll get sick of the color. The color actually changes shades when outside in the sunlight vs. indoor garage.

Plain white/black are a little ordinary to me.
