Question Can't get into Hidden Menu. Help please.

Just decided to venture into the Hidden Menu on my 2014 S4 with MMI+ 3G.
Tried to get in by pressing at the same time and for 5-6-7 seconds, the menu and car buttons.
Tried this with accessories only on and with all systems on but could not get to the Hidden Menu.

    Any suggestions?
I do not have access to a VAG-COM yet.

Also, when do we reset the MMI+...to restore original settings or to lock in any changes made?

    TIA

you need to code it in vagcom first before hand

go to information electronics and do
adaptation : development mode change value from 0 to 1

if you don't have that changed , holding car and menu won't do jack for you

search the vagcom on forums otherwise, you may get a new one ripped

You can use Carista to unlock the hidden menu too. There is a sticky for Vagcom.

You can also enable the hidden menu using the paid version of the Carista app along with an OBD2 adapter. I got the Carista branded bluetooth OBD adapter and it works great with the app on both my iPhone and iPad. I only mention this because the total cost going the Carista route is about $60. I'm sure you won't have as much capability to make changes as you can with the VAG-COM, but I was able to make the little changes I wanted (Disable wink, window control with remote, footwell lighting on while driving, etc...) without any problems.
