So 3 2017 A4s just hit the ground at my dealer. Very exciting!

They still have the shipping blocks in, but they look awesome! 2 of them are premium with nice options, and the white s-line on the end is a Premium Plus!

Hm. It'll be interesting to see these once people start cosmetically modding them. Look at that 4x4 stance. Different wheels and lowered a bit, I would probably like it a lot more.

Definitely going to make a difference. Even the standard 19" wheels make a big difference on the car.

    B9s look good.

While the B9 is an entirely new model, externally it just looks like a slightly face lifted B8.5. That's not a bad thing, but I can't recall an 'all new' Audi model looking this darn close to the one it replaces. The interior is where the big changes are, but externally most people will find the B8.5 and B9 almost indistinguishable unless they are a diehard Audi fan.

Works for me. Audi is giving me no real reason to upgrade. My 2013 B8.5 will essentially look like a 'new' model for another 3+ years.

Ya, I kind of have to agree. I'm still sticking with the thought that B8.5 owners will likely not care too much about the B9 until it's time to trade in (lease) or just that time to do so.

As a B8 owner, honestly, I am having the hardest time. Now that the time has passed in getting a new B8.5, I seriously am thinking cross shopping a CPO B8.5 against the B9. I would likely take though the B9 A4 over the B8.5 A4

B5-B6 was like that. All they did was take the sloping, curved lines of the B5 and make everything edier and blocky.

That rear end still reminds me of an A3

    old is new again: http://automotivemileposts.com/autobrevity/sequentialsignals.html

"First introduced as a standard feature on the 1965 Ford Thunderbird, sequential rear turn signals were originally planned to appear on the newly designed 1964 Thunderbirds, but were delayed for one year while the governing bodies of a few locales passed legislation making them legal, coast to coast."

"When Mercury introduced the Cougar in 1967, it was an instant smash hit, with Motor Trend Magazine awarding it Car of the Year honors for 1967. Built on the Ford Mustang platform, the Cougar was a step above the Mustang, with upgraded interiors, concealed front head lights, bucket seats, and of course, sequential rear turn signals. The Thunderbird and Cougar were joined in 1969 by the Chrysler Imperial, making three separate models equipped with factory-installed sequential turn signals in 1969."

nice that they pulled the amber out of the headlight assembly, now you just need to replace a cheap amber reflector instead of the entire headlight assembly! no more dropping 2k for "ecodes".

This is very nice. When we are buying the expensive ecodes the bmw 3/4 series guys are just buying cheap little body-color-matching panels to replace the amber reflector, even the rear reflectors as well.

Looks like most don't know what "shipping blocks" means. These cars have blocks in the suspension to keep the suspension from moving during transit. Hopefully this stops the usless posts about wheel gap.

It's not lower in sport mode, it's 23mm lower only if you get the sport package with sport suspension but without adaptive dampers.

We just have to find a way to reprogram them to act like the ones in Europe. It looks really ugly because since the original turn signal is "too small" they added the brake in the sequence but it doesn't really work because the brake light turns on when the sequence is starting and it just doesn't make sense cosmetically to have that extra big light with the sequence.

I saw one in this exact color around two weeks ago with Washington state plates....I had to take 2-3 looks as I thought it was a B8.5 from the side...It accelerated past us and I noticed a dual exhaust system....then I past it and saw the front end and confirmed it was a B9 A4. It really looks like a face lifted B8.5.

The dealer had a A6 that was done up. Definitely worth jumping to an A6 over getting another A4. The new A4 looks like an A3.

I test drove one on Friday... Handled well... But didn't really feel a horsepower difference... New dsg was was very smooth, but did feel a significant lag from low speeds... Lots of tech inside,... Didn't like the fact that the lower shifter is used as a wrist rest for the mmi touch screen wheel...
I'm sure everybody will get used to it,.... The gen3 motor will definitely be easy to tune .. Turbo manifold is integrated into the head....

I guess over time I'll get used to it. But I hated that "pinstripping" indent that goes all the way from the hood to the trunk on the side of the car. The Nav I could have lived with if the exterior was amazing. I also hated the rear valance with the honey combo in the rear bumper. It looks like an A3 fucked a Jetta and this is their mutated son.

As you said though, very easy to tune. The lag at low speeds would piss me off way to much.

We were at the dealer to pick up some parts at the dealer yesterday and decided to check out if the B9's have arrived and they did! Salesperson said it arrived day before (Saturday) and they received a few. Just wanted to see how it compares to our CVT B8.5

we test drove the gray FWD B9 to compare it with our current FWD 8.5

The car shifts very smoothly and you can tell there's an increase in power. All the tech it had was nice but it seems a little too cluttered, there was a lot of buttons on the steering and also the dash compared to the B8.5

The interior felt a little roomier but not that much compared to the B8. The bumpers on the non s-line looks really ugly IMHO but the s-line looks amazing! The stock 18s are meh compared to the B8 wheels but it will do.

Overall we were impressed with the B9 but our lease is still a year and a half away so we'll probably pick up a MY18 or 19 in the future.

I was really disappointed with the LED DRL's of the non-LED headlight. Looks like Audi cut cost on this feature, only the 4 'led' lights encircled light up as DRL as opposed to the B8's amazing LED DRL

Of course Audi cut costs, they want u to get the LEDs. The worse it looks the more people will opt for the full LEDs.
