I'm looking to pull the trigger on new 17 Q7 next monday.
But sticker was around $68xxx and dealer is not trying to give me a much discount for it.
And on the other hand bmw is offering new X5 that is $69xxx for $62xxx.
This bmw also has 3rd row.

So I'm very curious to see how much did you guys paid for your 17 Q7.

    78,9 on an 80,7 sticker
They aren't really discounting these since the inventory is so limited.

That X5 is really no comparison though.

why isn't the x5 a viable option to cross-shop in your opinion?

Those are pretty similar cars. X5 just smaller in trunk area.

I think what he meant was the X5 is overdue for a redesign and the Q7 is fresh on the market. I got three percent off the sticker and the best I have heard is 5 percent off.

I have always been a BMW guy but the X5 just didn't match up to the new Q7. The Audi has larger interior space, drives much better, higher MPG and looks much better IMHO. So far one of the best cars I have ever owned.

the F15 debuted in 2014. April '16 builds going forward will have revamped tech inside the vehicle along with cluster. IIRC LCI is scheduled for summer 2017.

in terms of interior space they are comparable except Q7 beats rear legroom by 2.2":

I'm in the same boat. I did not pay yet, just put deposit on the car which is currently is sailing somewhere in Atlantic. Spoke with 3 local dealers and only discount off MSRP I got was $500 "loyalty discount". I was looking at X5 as well. You definitely can get better deals on it, but current stock is one generation behind Q7 2017. As someone mentioned above, dealers will get updated version with new electronics in April. What stopped me from buying X5 is its terrible reliability.

a first year new unknown platform full of new gadgetry and electronics doesn't have the potential to be troublesome and less reliable?

Any SoCal dealers discounting yet? Ready to pick one up.. but not at full MSRP. Have an Audi SPP.. but it looks like dealers don't want to honor it.

Dont take me seriously but like a grand or 2 off a vehicle almost 70k is like a joke. It just makes one feel like a winner but it will be about 10 off monthly payment.

I wish they give a good 10percent off or like invoice price all the time

a few 4M Q7 have already popped up "used" in CA. prestige are listed for high 60s low 70s. premium plus low 60s to mid 60s. nice chunk of change to save with only a few hundred to thousand miles.

Any more recent purchasers or order placers willing to chime in? I'm looking but will likely have to order to get preferred package. Most likely prestige with b/o

On Saturday I put down a holding fee on a Prestige which will be held until my TDI buyback goes through, hopefully sometime this month. And they were only willing to go to 2.5% under sticker. He said he could have done better on a P+ but I didn't ask about it.

Supply and demand. Texas has a huge demand and are barely keeping them on the lot. I bought my Q7 in Texas and it was a special order someone walked away from 20 mins prior! Initially I only got 2.5% off, but got 7% in the end...6 from the dealer and 1% from the bank car buying program.

What ever happened to the Audi Loyalty program? Both of my previous purchases included that, in 2010 and in 2014. They got rid of it? That was an easy $1,500 off the top...

Audi Loyalty was available January 2016 then gone in February. However Audi loyalty is now available for the Q7 $1,000 if you go thru AFS and $500 if you don't.

From my shopping experience, dealerships have an abundance of P+'s, they will heavily discount those to move them off the lot, and they can order more.

Prestige models are hot items, very high demand, so they don't discount those as much.

Now, if your looking for deep discounts over options, go with a P+ and get that 10%
If your primary shopping Prestige models, shop around and see what's available, you won't find a 10% discount as easily.

FYI, I got $3k off msrp on a Prestige
