Yeah, I planned on sharing since I think I am the only person in the US with this turbo.

I am ordering a stage 2 + spec clutch too. No way the stock one will hold for hard launches. It doesn't slip unless I drop it hard on stage 2, but I want to be able to use the torque fully.

This is very cool, interested to see how the custom tune works out! Can you share details on the clutch you're looking at? Mine seems to be holding OK for now but I wouldn't mind being able to do some hard launches to take full advantage, as you said. Thanks!

Woops, didn't realize SPEC was a brand, I took that to mean stage 2+ was the specification it was rated to. Thanks for the link. So I take it you're not replacing the flywheel? I've read that you can replace the clutch without changing the flywheel but the flywheel should be resurfaced. Any plans for that?

I'll share who's doing the tune once it's on the car. For stage 2, GIAC has been awesome. Even driving the car this week, I told myself that I am a moron for spending $ to go K04. It pulls really hard already.

I don't think you'll be saying that once the K04 is actually installed It's a much different experience.

Negative, I'm getting a CTS k04 and will be running the APR k04 file. I have an FMIC, DV+, R8 coils, Bosch plugs, and a high flow filter. Should be all set for the k04.

APR requires a DP for stage 2 and its a "free"upgrade if you buy theirs, but they don't have one available so that's a moot point.

APR only requires their DP to entice you to buy it or pay an extra $199 if you don't have it. Any HFC or test pipe that will connect to the stock manifold will fit theirs, or this one.

Just got an alert that the package delivered.

Will be cool to have another non-typical mod that works. Doubt there are any other B8s with Spulen HFC, moog end links, treadstone FMIC, water meth, magnaflow mufflers, a ford exhaust damper, Mishimoto catch can and Sportec K04.

It's a mutt for sure.

Have fun with the install it's a real PIA at least it was for me but I did it when it was 10 degrees outside and I could barely hold my tools, also I highly recommend getting a t55 Allen key and a set of triple squares if you don't already have them

EDIT: nevermind, just saw you posted the clutch info. Way to go man, really curious to see how this install goes; I'll be putting in my APR one in a few weeks, so lets compare what we get out of it at the end! :)

If you don't have the t55 allen already, I would suggest getting the one in the link below. I initially ordered an allen key from amazon, but found that it was difficult to get the right amount of leverage on it, or grip, depending on the situation with the space you have. I eventually bought the one in the link, and used a die punch to knock it out of the socket attachment, so I could put a wrench on it instead. I did the same thing for the upper coolant line on the engine side of the turbo.

What has been your experience with Stage 2 if you don't mind me asking? I have Stage 1 and have put a deposit on Eurocode Downpipe Testpipe as it was discounted this week. I will have to pay for the APR Stage 2 but it's not too much.

Although @blbroo is a big fan of everything APR (especially the new FMIC), he's got a GIAC tune. But there is plenty of info on this forum about APR stage II and other people's impressions to give you an idea of what you're getting yourself into.

Nice one - I am excited about getting mine although was concerned about the smell originating from the downpipe and also whether I would get much out of it given I don't plan to be hitting 4000 rpm everywhere I go. Maybe I have the wrong attitude lol.
