Has anyone wired a rear dash cam?

I was thinking of getting a rear dash cam and wiring it to the 12v adapter in the trunk. Has anyone here done this? Tips/advice would be appretiated

depending on model, you'll want constant 12v to enable motion detection. mine records front and rear simultaneously.

id rather not wire it to the fuse- maybe some sort of battery backup would suffice for the motion detection recordings
