Alrite well, car had been sitting for the winter and all that good stuff for a few month, upgrade the turbo to k04 xxlb rs6 hybrid, tuned by the great kompressed with a 550cc file, 3in maf housing and 550cc ev 14 48mm with the adapters. Got the car all back together no problem, fire the car up the first time started up great, idle a little jumpy but seemed to settle from 1200 to around 800 but once you bliped the throttle it kind of hung around then dropped.

So went for test drive boost great felt awesome, but ii look back and smell gas dark black cloud just dieseling out the tail pipe. So i go back and see whats up, and then then once i shut it off a few times, i go back to drive after i topped off coolant and such and turned the mbc down some. Had to start the car with the pedal to the floor it started up idled around 800 but vac at 10inhg settled around 15inhg.

After coming back from a test drive still felt great in boost and such but fuel was just dumping and you can just hear the exhaust popping and all sorts of raw fuel along with it.
Once i got to my drive way tried to gas her out and it died right their, cranked and all no start.

What i have ruled out with vagcom was:

Coolant temp sensor read 21c once the car cooled down and all
Maf was reading 27gs with the ignition on but not cranking, but once cranked it go to 1.80g to about 2.00g
    Getting spark
    Getting fuel
Installed new bkr7e plugs, old once were just black and fouled out, and also damp with fuel so aired out the cylinder.
Still no start, but great crank tbelt still intact in time with great compression. What i did happen to find when i hooked up the multimeter
was the crankshaft positioning sensor at points 1 and 2 it read 456ohms, and 1 and 3 read nothing.

Ive read a good sensor should be at 700-1000ohms. So i removed it and didnt look too bad other then covered in slight oil film, its on the order list to see what happens now.

My question is what do you guys think i should try next?

did you clean off the crank sensor and try to turn the car back over?

i did not because further investigation, i did notice the rpm gauge was not fluctuating the slightest bit and it always did so when trying to crank over, and on cold days the needle would fling around wildy and such and this is an oem 150k sensor since i had to cut into the ziptied harness to remove. So that should be a quick fix! fingers crossed!

Sounds like it was running way, way rich while you were driving. Hence the dark exhaust, requiring clear-flood-mode to restart the engine. Since crank sensors don't control mixture, I'm thinking that's not your problem at all.

Things that heavily control mixture: MAF, CTS, O2 sensor.

Your 27 g/s MAF reading is interesting. I'd try unplugging the MAF and seeing how it responds. Having a car that is not running factory software, I can't tell you how it is supposed to behave with the MAF is unplugged. It might be expected that it won't run at all. I just don't know.

You can also unplug the other stuff: CTS and O2 sensor. Again, I can't know how your modified software will react to that, but it might tell you something.

yes thats true but i realised the oem 3 way and pcv valve i had installed had a tear in the 3 way and the hose off the mani popped of, pcv is shot as well.

And ye the tune will not run the car if the maf is unplugged, also have verified my buddys k04 setup by kompressed tuning his is doing the same ordeal with the ignition on and going to block 002 its at 27hg and once you turn the key over it goes to 1.8ish like normal.

and what do you mean by cts? coolant temp sensor or cam sensor? if coolant temp sensor it read normal? via vag!

I know you want other people to say stuff...me too, which is why I waited 24 hours before replying again. Seriously, I wouldn't want to hear from me again either. But after your 3rd bump, I feel bad and don't know what else to do. And when I don't know what to do, I post some crap on AZ, pretending to know what I'm talking about. So here goes.

    Facts:
    - Your stuff is heavily modified.
    - You are running with new hardware and new software.
    - You have a boat-ton of variables going on here.
    - It seems like you know what you are doing as you have tried a bunch of valid things.

Based on said facts, I think your problem might not be simple. It may, in fact, be more than one thing.

    Time for more facts:
    - You had it running.
    - It didn't run properly. Seems like mixture was really rich.

Based on these facts, I don't think "getting it started" is really the problem. Figuring out which new piece isn't working as expected is the problem. If it were me, I might try reinstalling stock injectors, stock ECU, and stock MAF/housing (or leave it unplugged). See if everything works. Get rid of some variables.
