    Why aren't these more popular with the S4 community? UR braces looks like it would stiffen the chassis a whole lot more, especially the big ass one that goes under the car.

    I bought the UltraRacing upper bar (UR-TW2-2762) on Ebay, shipped from Malaysia, it arrived bent....new one on the way. I will let you know if it fits my 2010 S4. It looks very similar to the bar they sell for the A4 2.0T (UR-TW2-1412), but with different shaped end-brackets to clear the 3.0 V6.

    I meant how it looks clearing the engine block, hoses and etc. You know, any fitment issues with the 3.0. I'm with you, rigidity is king. I wouldn't care if this is diarrhea brown as long as it works perfectly.

    how much was it ?

    you could buy one AK or buy all 3 brace UR for the same price lol... something is making HUGE margin on those braces..

    Not a fair comparison as the AK is made from a solid piece of aluminum thats been CNC'd into its current shape - read, slow wasteful, expensive process. Those strut braces are just molly steel welded together. Not doubting their effectiveness just pointing out the manufacturing process is more complex.
    Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.

    Unsure if they just added up or I never saw it, but they offer 3 fitment for S4 B8 now.. http://www.ultraracing.my/catalog/in...oller=category

    For the price of one AK, you could get all 3 braces.
