    Stasis vs chipwerke

Hello, new to this forum. I recently purchased a 2012 B8 S4. Love the car, I couldn't be any happier with it. I just have a few questions. When I was buying the car I found it had a Stasis tune. It has the exhaust and the intake. It didn't really feel like there was anything done to the car though. I drove my friends B8.5 S4 and it felt exactly the same power-wise. We also did a couple pulls on the high way and the only time I started to pull away from him was when we were going around 110mph and that was only by about half a car. I was wondering if I should try Chipwerke. I have a couple buddies who have N54 335i. They all use plug and play tunes. Would I be able to plug up the Chipwerke and have the stasis tune on there? I feel as if the car was reflashed before it went up for sale and its back to base tune. I just don't know. Thanks in advance for any help or advice that you guys throw my way.

i wouldnt put the chipwerke on unless you know you are on a stock file. Find someone with a vagcom and log the bypass valve to see if you have a tune.

Hello Remik and welcome to Audizine, as is very well documented Stasis (now bankrupt) is pretty much useless as far as gains go, you will be much better off going with trusted and proven tunes by APR, GIAC, and a couple others now coming into the scene. Dont be afraid to poke around a bit and research the best mods for your car. As far as your question goes, you should get your car flashed to stock before using the Chipwerke piggyback. My best guess would be contacting revo since they merged with stasis before stasis stopped being but others here can help you more. Good luck
