I second what Lambda said. You appear to be new, so we'll give you a pass on not searching the thread yet. But there are some pretty detailed reviews of each setup which I really recommend reading.

I just put some H&R Sport Springs on my 2010 A4. I also mated the springs with S4 struts/shocks. I love the look and ride quality is still very good. About 1 finger gap between tire and fender on stock 17's. I'm also putting some 19's on this weekend. Can't wait.

Highly, highly recommend retrofitting factory sports suspension vs. aftermarket setups.

^ interesting remark...curious to understand the background of the statement.would you even make this suggestion for high end coil overs (pss10, etc) or the koni/bilstein kits? Why?

Just comes down to usability as a daily driver, and your own tolerance for inconvenience. Many coilover setups and correctly matched spring/shock setups ride just fine, and the significant drop certainly looks good. But if your use case involves parking garages, steep parking lot entrances, or god forbid speed bumps, it can become a PITA to daily. It's all about personal preference. Factory sport suspension gets rid of the ugly wheel gap without ruining the daily usability.
