My buddy just picked up a 6MT 4door ATS-V with recaros and we did a few runs last weekend.
My car is EPL Stage 1 with some others (see sig). Through 2nd we were dead even, he had about a 1/4 car through third, and then about a 1/2 car through 4th. We did about 6-7 runs and at no point did he get more then a car on me, sometimes we were dead even depending on the jump. We (well at least I) never got out of 4th because of the track we were using. He didn't want to do a dig either since he is just got it and is still learning the car.
No vids yet since we didn't have anyone riding along. More to come there. Overall I was pretty pleased. I thought it would be more of a walk-a-thon. I think I would have him if I went stage 2, but of course if he gets a tune I am toast.
As for the car, I drove it and it doesn't have the low end grunt my car does, which makes the B8/.5 so much fun around town. I was expecting it to be more like my B5, but I found myself waiting and waiting for the sling-shot effect (which happens, just late). I didn't get a chance to do any twisties but the steering was direct and crisp. The auto rev match is cooler then I want it to be. The recaros are amazing you can adjust all the bolstering. The appointments are nice, door cards, suede, etc. The CUE and the gauge cluster are junk. If they change to a better infosystem and do the glass cluster like the CTS-V there would be very very little to nit pick. Oh and the exhaust note puts our stock exhaust to shame, like every other performance car....
I know I know...pics and vids...working on it. It was an ad hoc meet up and my car was filthy. Soon, I promise.
