Can anyone help me with this n75/paralell MBC setup?

Backstory: Purchased a AWE Stage 3 fueling kit and the seller told me this particular setup spikes high boost and in order to control it, it needs to have a parallel MBC. He sent me the MBC with the kit.

I drove the car BEFORE the install, Spikes at 25PSI and holds 24PSI. Added the MBC and no change. Adjusted it all the way down (turned clockwise) and no change. Brought it back (counter cw) all the way and still 25PSI and holding 24PSI.

    Here is my install/setup:

And info for the N75/MBC setup I found online:

Here are my three runs I plotted in excel. Sorry its not more granular, VCDS baud-rate isnt great.

You have a leak in your lines... flyboys4 stated it but maybe you didn't understand.

Remove the parallel(meaning put it back to stock) and unplug your electrical on your N75.... if it boosts past wastegate pressure you most likely have a leak in either your wastegate actuator hoses or your reference line hoses.

Oh ya and those leaks are fun to fix.... Especially if its leaking off the waste gate

I can hook an air hose to the boost side to check for leaks. How much pressure does it usually take to crack the WG open?

Around 7 psi on K04 wastegates.

Have not had the time to go revert my setup, however, I did post my run data above that I did after installing the MBC.

Not sure if this is just the pics but your N75 is not connected electrically?

Your MBC is rusted and very rudimentary. I can't imagine it working well or consistently.

What did your awe fueling kit include and what is on your car now? I would really suggest a custom tune to match the car(without that MBC).

For the pic, the n75 was unconnected.

The kit I bought from another member came with 85mm housing, silicone accordion, green top injectors, and the ecu.

OK... your data just confirms that the N75 and the MBC are not doing anything I don't think. FYI... the data logs I think will not show anything above 24 psi anyway... meaning you are probably spiking much higher.

Please connect your N75 just like stock and unplug the N75 electrically... this should show you if there is a problem in the wastegate control(either N75 or the lines are leaking) if you show anything above wastegate pressure.

So the n75 unplugged will just make the n75 open completely? So unplugged I shouldn't see more than ~8 psi?

Also my graphs were converted from mbar to psi. I do know it is peaking to 25psi as my boost gauge has been pretty accurate.

Used the weekend to install from DPs back to the exhaust so I didn't get to remove the MBC lines I installed. Will do it this week and report back.

Yes... the N75 unplugged electrically will give you ~8psi.

If your boost gauge says 25 psi then that is what it is. Looking at your requested vs actual I wouldn't say there is anything wrong. Spikes happen really quickly so you may not notice or catch it in graphs but if you have a mechanical dial gauge it would probably show it.

After testing things stock I would see what it does N75 unplugged... then I would plug n75 and see if it spikes. If it doesn't then no need to put that MBC on there... if it does I would get a quality MBC.
