Megan racing, Heard of them?

I placed a order for some konis through ecstunning. After 20 days of waiting for the konis which were back ordered to ship they tell me koni discontinued the coilovers and canceled my order. The sales rep I talked too when I contacted them told me that the Megan racing coilovers system they have is in his opinion better then the konis. Well I set my budget at 1400 including shipping, any advise on which company I should be looking at? I had shitty with fixed dampered coilovers so I'm looking for something with an adjustable damper.

My impression of Megan Racing has always been that it is a budget brand mostly catering to the Japanese import crowd. I could be wrong though.

there are some top off the line bilstein PSSS9 on the classified now in that price range your willing to spend

Yea I seen the post but no offense, I would never buy used suspension, motor parts or exhausts for any of my vehicle. Just had to many bad experiences. Pss9s are nice but I prefer something new.

Yes, Megan is def a budget minded brand who caters more towards the tuner scene. They aren't bad coilovers, I would just put them more in line with BC Racing.

Well konis were in the budget and I had great experiences with them on the three vehicles I had them on. I have no idea why they would discontinue a well selling product but they did. So not to many options for coilovers for 1400-1500 with an adjustable damper.

Back in my Lexus days, i remember numerous complaints over their coilovers leaking fluid over time and then sagging.

Well I guess the luck of the Irish is with me. Contacted a seller on Amazon and he so happens to have a set of konis. So looks like I'll get my konis after all lol. Yea I looked at the reviews and I got a lot of mixed reviews about them, so idk what the guy from ecs was thinking but I wouldn't buy them after some of the reviews I read.

I bought my PSS9's used, and since I was doing a full overhaul on my suspension I sent them to Bilstein to be cleaned up, reworked to spec and shipped back for under $300.

No offense taken... I basically modded my whole car on pre-owned parts. I think the only things I new was the APR HPFP, ST coil overs, Motor mts, DV, DP and brake pads. Oh and my used Avant...lol

I never said used was bad. I said I had bad experences with used parts. I had been burned before and ended up paying twice as much for a part. You paid under 300 to clean up used coils well if I was in the same scenario I would just have put a little extra on it and get new coils. It's just my way of thinking now after being burned.

I hear ya. I have had my bad experiences as well with buying used. I am lot more picky now on what I buy used and what I buy new.
