A5 2.0 and A4 exhaust assembly interchangeable?

I have read somewhere on the forums that the A4 exhaust is slightly longer. Wondering if anyone has fit either one on the other and if so, how much work was involved (i.e.-simply cutting a few inches or extending a few inches). Thanks in advance

So here is my story:
Months ago I went to tagmotorsports to install my S5 exhaust (I put a deposit) they found they mailed it to someone ordered an S4 exhaust by mistake.
I didnt want to waste my 100+ miles journey so I asked if I could use the S4 exhaust they said the S4 exhaust is slightly longer so I needed to cut it a bit to fit.
Of course at last I waited for the S5 exhaust to be mailed back coz i didnt want to spend $2k+ for an exhaust that requires modifications to fit, and they gave me a discount for apology.

Conclusion:
I believe the same story goes for a5 and a4. Yes the exhaust will eventually fit but you need some cutting and welding. I wouldn't recommend you to do it unless you find a killer deal on it (like someone's selling it used at a very low price).
If you really want to, a normal muffler shop can do this for you.
