Why doenst my key fob work? It used to program to the car, but lose programing every few weeks. Now it doesnt work. Ive tried

1. Replacing remote batteries twice
2. Reprograming to car but car never flashes or blinks indicating successful sync.

What else can i do?

When programming to the car, were you using VCDS?

No just using the key to ignition.

When I was able to program it to car, the lights would flash indicating success in key fob sync. Right now, it doesn't do that anymore. I no longer get any kind of flashes. Would having a broken antenna affect this process?
