    Ac problem

    Heading to work today and the Ac doesn't work? I brought it in over the winter for audi to check because one day my windows were fogged up and wouldn't defrost, it happened on a couple occasions . Off course it worked fine when I brought it in and they found no problem. Has anyone experienced this problem?

    I had to get my compressor switched out last year. Took about 1 1/2 months back then to get the new compressor and then they didn't order bolts and then they broke a bolt and then they had to replace something else. It was a nightmare. AC works great now though.

    I had an issue with my AC as well. I was lucky enough that the compressor did not need to be replaced but the N280 valve was replaced. I haven't been able to really test the AC yet so so far its been cool when I asked it to be.

    Common issues on the S3. My A/C compressor was replaced within 1 week of ownership
    S3 Sedan - Glacier White SSP2 Black Optics trim. UniTronic S1+ & DSG Flash. Neuspeed RSe10. GFB DV+

    Hopefully it doesn't take that long to order it. Sounds like that's the problem. Just pulled the Neuspeed module out today, cars going in for service Tuesday. Thanks for the heads up, I'm also getting that sensor checked the passenger air bag. It's annoying as hell.

    If our cars use the same technology (constant turning compressor with a RCV that controls the load of ac) as I had in my 2010 Golf TDI then were in for a ride with the a/c...

    Ok so on my way in to work today it just started working again. Ugg I wish it stayed not working, now they'll say there's no problem like last time. Hope it goes out again before Tuesday

    My dealership came back and told me at the time that nothing was wrong. I insisted they take another look at it and after an hour they came back and said that it was needing to be rebuilt at first then later said it will be replaced.

    Ok thanks, I've only dealt with smithtown audi with my last car. They flagged me td1 My fault for not flashing back to stock. Car was a lemon. I stopped in yesterday and they said if I have a loaner just bring it in and they will check fault codes. Will see. I'll try atlantic next. He mentioned they have replaced compressors on a3's but they replace it with the same one. That's like gm with harmonic balances that are defective, they swap for like which doesn't make sense cuz they fail again

    Just got the call back from Audi no fault codes and they cannot find any problems, I just have to bring it back when it happens and not wait

    On a brighter note,I removed the Neuspeed module. No detection, gotta admit I was a little nervous about it.

    Well it happened again, so I brought it in yesterday again, a different tech found a tsb on a faulty valve the other tech missed. It was replaced, seems to be working fine now. Will see when it warms up again.

    did they provide you with the TSB number, and the name and/or part number of the defective valve ???
    What was the description of the work completed on your work order receipt ???
