I was on my way down CT route 8 yesterday morning when my TPMS went off about 5 miles above my office. Got into my parking lot just as the tire went flat, so I didn't toast the rim or tire further. When I took it off, I could see a couple of small pieces of wire protruding from the center of my almost brand new Conti DWS06, but could not tell what was under it. I figured it was some kind of industrial fastener.

Took it over to the local Town Fair tire for repair, and the tire Guy comes out of the back after fixing it, and says that in 20 years, he never saw a fishing lure in a tire. The whole thing went into the tire end first somehow.

For all of you fishermen, it is a "Thomas Rough rider spoon, 1/5 oz" 1 1/2 inches long. Apparently be good for Smallmouth bass.

i was riding in an uber a few weeks back - lady was driving an xterra. while we were at a stoplight, a pedestrian comes up and tells the driver she has a nail in the tire. it was nighttime so i was wondering how sharp of an eye this guy had to be able to see a nail in the tire. when i got out of the car, i was shocked. it wasn't a nail...it was a bolt, about the size of what would go into the side of frankenstein's neck. it was protruding about 2" out from the sidewall of the tire. there's quite a bit of construction in SF, but i still have no clue how something that size would have gotten stuck in the tire, esp at the angle it went in.

Lol, the crap that ends up on our roads is amazing. At least my tire wasn't toast, that would have really sucked.

My friend got a bullet casing the first day we picked up his brand new Mclaren 650. Thats Crazy!

hook line and sinker...i am surprised it was able to do that without bending of some sort. must be good quality.
