I posted in a vag-com sub forum in VWVortex, but no one has responded yet. Posting here because people are pretty active.
I just got vcds lite and a cable, and I'm completely new to vcds. I've looked up tutorials and things but it makes no sense to me. I just wanted to do the key fob windows down/up mod (don't know if you'd call it a mod).
Anyone know somewhere with a pretty detailed link or know how to do it? Also, what other things did you all do through vcds?

First you need to get your laptop to talk to your car with the cable/vcds... then you have to code the module for the features you want. In the world of our cars you have to first see what coding it has then either add or subtract from that number with the ones you want(see link). You can't really screw it up but write down what the car has before changing it. I think you pretty much want to make the code 16236 for the features you want in an s4 with bose/symphony radio.
