    First accident. A-hole zipping during rush hour traffic in middle left turn lane while I was getting out of plaza through two lanes of traffic that let me trough ... As I approached carefully middle lane - he came zipping down swiped me and kept on going!

    Wow, that sucks... You were not able to follow him and get the plate number?

    I guess this is just another reason to buy a dashcam.

    I would be pissed...thankfully it isn't too bad. Didn't break the headlight...still sucks. Glad to hear you're okay and something worse didn't occur!

    Daughter was with me taking her to some after school event - I just couldn't put her through it - other wise I would have easily followed him and got license plate ! Yes always could have been worse

    Sorry to hear! Glad no one was hurt.

    I had a similar fender bender when I hit a raccoon on my way home from work. Damaged the bottom of the bumper and broke the fog light. Cost $3,000 thru insurance for a new bumper cover, fog light, paint, install. I was shocked how something so small could cost so much money!

    Check the area for street cameras. Our city has them everywhere. Hit and runs are serious and the police can usually track them via the cameras.

    Ouch that sucks. Well, you did the right thing. Not upsetting your child by further escalating the event was a smart move IMO. Sorry about the car tho.

    Wow some people suck. If I ever have screw up my front bumper, I'm gonna try to finagle a custom RS4 bumper upgrade.

    Sucks this happened! I was in a similar situation a couple of months ago. Glad you are safe and a real good move not putting your daughter through it.

    Its lucky that the headlight didn't go down with this. I had to change my headlight, fog light cover, bumper, washer unit and grille. Ended up costing about $8000!!

    Is it just me or do body shops tend to quote just under the $2,500 even for relatively minor stuff that is the limit for reporting as an accident on the vin?

    my local body shop told me 400 to spray the front bumper. oem bumper skin is around 850. So another 1000 for install and fitting?? my car is black though so maybe thats easier to match with the rest of the panels, yours might need the whole front end repainted to blend in.
    2013 S4 prestige S-tronic, APR STG II with TCU tune, AMS Alpha cooler, ECS intake, Milltek Valvesonic, ECS skid plate, CR-15, RS4 front bumper, 034 X-brace, 034 RSB, KW V2, ONEighty custom headlights, custom 19" Work Emotion CR ultimate. Brembo 380mm front, ECS 2 piece rear.
