    windshield replacement

Anyone know who has OEM windshields (specifically Sekurit Acoustic - NOT Pilkington) who can replace it for less than the dealer (they're quoting me $905!)? I'm trying to avoid Safelite btw...

I would prefer someone in the SGV, but will venture farther for good/cheap work.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Call the dealer and ask them who they use. That's what I did when I needed a replacement several years ago. It was very difficult to get it all figured out even after I contacted the company they recommended because you have to be very clear you want oem glass. Most the sales reps I talked to didn't even know how to answer but I finally got what I needed.

They use Safelite, which is the company I'm trying to avoid - seems like it's hit/miss with them, depending on who ends up doing the install.

Is it the service with Safelite that is deterring you away? Because I just had my windshield replaced by them and it was the Saint-Gobain Sekurit brand.

Did you call Rusnak in Pasadena? It was a different company when I asked but this was years ago. I was avoiding Safelite as well but if you can get oem glass from them and a decent installer, you should be good.
