    What is this?

Hi, I asked a couple times in another thread but didn't get any answers.
Between the two center coilpacks is a round female socket of some sort. Black rubber outside, white ribbed (for your pleasure) inside.
It's attached to the metal clip and torx screw that has to be removed before you can remove the coil packs.
Anyone know what this is for???

    I've wondered the same thing.

Wonder if it has something to do with the flex fuel models? Mine doesn't have that piece, from what I remember at least.

Maybe, but what's weird to me is that the end doesn't connect to anything. It's just sitting there.
If I had to make a wild guess, I would say it was something to hold your spark plug while doing maintenance... but seriously... that just sounds stupid. I'd rather have something to hold my beer.

I feel like it's measuring some sort of ambient gas in the compartment maybe? I don't recall if it has suction to it when the car is running.

Likely going to have to pull a part number off that piece. Trying to search for it with out knowing which system it works within or is a part of makes it tough.
