Brilliant Red with Hideous wood grain

Just bought this B7 but I hate this wood grain. The trim I can wrap, dip or swap.
But what to do about the steering wheel other then buying a new one? Can those sections be wrapped and would it hold up to everyday use?
The air freshener was there when I bought it. Been ripped out. Lol

I've seen people wrap the SW in carbon fiber imitation. Can't tell you how long it would last though.
What I would do is give it a thorough sanding and paint it. Or you can get a second hand one and
    swap it.

Ocarbon often posts up that they will trade aluminum trim for wood trim. They find it easier to work with, and will swap you no cost. PM matt@ocarbon

If Ocarbon does not work out, shoot me a PM, I may trade for that trim, have brushed aluminum currently. You can keep the monstrosity of a steering wheel though!

Try these guys look at the real carbon, I used it on both my cars great fit and much cheaper and easier alternative.

Depends what you're willing to spend. You can replace the trim for ~$175 (and then resell your current trim), steering wheel should be less than ~$100 and you'll want to replace the shifter (~50 I would guess).

If you resold everything, you might be able to do it pretty cost neutral.

Ummm, I realize that OP's interior may not seem appealing to some but it's probably one of the less common trim options(Code 7TC/Beige Birch grain), especially with the wood steering wheel & shift knob. I'd learn to live with it.

For the trim I figured I'd try this wrap. As far as the wheel and shifter I definitely see I'm going to have to buy new ones

But it doesn't match the Brilliant Red exterior one bit

OP, if you want the brushed look let me know. Would do a straight swap with you.

Being the owner of a Brilliant Red B7 w/Black/Alum. interior, I can understand why it may seem undesirable to you. It's probably no consolation, but I can tell you that Audi uses similar color combinations on many different models. Most Red B7s I see have beige interiors but not many have the wood stg wheel & shift knob. If you're going to sell those items, you could probably get good $$ if you hold out for the right buyer.

I was looking into getting this full genuine carbon fiber trim. $260 for a full kit with a ship-ton of carbon fiber and that website offers a lot of 20% off deals. I'd be interested to see how genuine their genuine carbon fiber is but seems like a pretty good deal.

I know what you're saying but rare doesn't always equal $$. Especially if it's rare because it's butt ugly.
